In November 2024, FABW will once again take part online in Baden-Wuerttemberg´s Open Day, and we will also offer a look behind the scenes on site.

Gratuation Documentary Film at the UN

The FABW will present YUMI – THE WHOLE WORLD on October 23, 2024, at the United Nations in New York. The film follows three law students fighting for climate justice. The broadcast on SWR is scheduled for November 21, 2024.

HOF INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL: 14 ENTRIES FROM FABW

At the 58th International Hof Film Festival (October 22 to 27, 2024), Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg will be represented with an impressive 14 entries in the three programme sections feature film, documentary film, and short film.

Four First Steps Awards for FABW

A major success for Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg: Four FIRST STEPS Awards 2024 were won by students and productions from the Ludwigsburg-based film school at the prestigious awards ceremony on 30th September 2024, held at the Theater des Westens in Berlin.

FABW @ DOK Leipzig

MORIA SIX (German Competition Documentary Film) and SISTERQUEENS (Young Eyes) are two FABW productions included in the programme of the 67th edition of DOK Leipzig. In addition, several Filmakademie graduates will present their new works.

New Senior Lecturers for the Production study programme

With the start of the 2024/25 academic year, Marjorie Bendeck and Jean-Young Kwak will join Prof. Gloria Burkert as senior lecturers, helping to shape the future of the production department.

Campus Opening Week

Following the inspiring speech by stop-motion titan Henry Selick, the “Radikale Töchter” workshops on political action art are already underway.
We look forward to a creative and exciting week ahead.

The 13th SHORT FILM DAY is taking place from 15 to 21 December 2024 under the motto ‘Building Bonds’. We are also taking part and presenting two exciting programmes that can be booked now.
