NOLLYWOOD-WORKSHOP

The NOLLYWOOD-WORKSHOP 2024 brought together Nigerian and German filmmakers to produce the film FRAGMENTS OF TOMORROW. In 2025, the program will be expanded with scholarships for Nigerian talents.

FABW-Production "FÜNFZEHN MINUTEN" Wins in the Education Category

The short film FÜNFZEHN MINUTEN by Sejad Ademaj won the Deutscher Menschenrechts-Filmpreis 2024 for its powerful portrayal of deportation and migration.

Open Days online and on site

In November 2024, FABW will once again take part online in Baden-Wuerttemberg´s Open Day, and we will also offer a look behind the scenes on site.

Awards at DOK Leipzig 2024

MORIA SIX by Jennifer Mallmann won the DEFA Sponsorship Award (€4,000), and SISTERQUEENS by Clara Stella Hüneke received the Young Eyes Film Award (€2,000).

Gratuation Documentary Film at the UN

The FABW will present YUMI – THE WHOLE WORLD on October 23, 2024, at the United Nations in New York. The film follows three law students fighting for climate justice. The broadcast on SWR is scheduled for November 21, 2024.

ALP MOVIE WINS GERMAN SHORT FILM AWARD

At the award ceremony for the German Short Film Award 2024, MELODIES OF BARKING DOGS won the “Lola” for best “Fiction Film up to 10 Minutes in Length”. The film was created as part of the postgraduate programme Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris (ALP).

HOF INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL: AWARD FOR FABW SHORT FILM

At the 58th International Hof Film Festival, the Jury Short Film Award of the City of Hof went to a production of FABW: SHUT UP AND SUFFER (director: Emma Bading).
