Every summer semester, the International Class (ICLA) offers a practice-orientated curriculum for students from the Filmakademie’s partner institutions.
The content of this interdisciplinary, English-language course is at the third-year level. As a general study programme, it teaches film narrative skills in an interdisciplinary and intercultural context. The ICLA is open to students from all film disciplines and cultural backgrounds.
The group of up to twenty students spends the summer semester in Ludwigsburg, with numerous touchpoints with other students at the Filmakademie. The declared objective of the International Class is to create a lasting network of guest students and regular FABW students.
Applications for the ICLA can only be submitted via the Filmakademie’s partner institutions. It is not possible to apply directly.
