Executive & Line Producing (ELP) focuses on the financial, entrepreneurial and organisational management of a film and media production. With the increasing complexity and internationalisation of productions and their exploitation - for example through internationally operating streaming platforms - ELP is becoming increasingly important.
The ELP specialisation provides extensive insight into the production craft of national and international line producers, business executives and commercial producers who act as interfaces between the creative, economic, organisational and legal aspects of a film production.
The course therefore imparts essential theoretical and practical knowledge about project-related production and production management and management in agile project structures, as well as project-related topics of business affairs, innovative deal making and business administration.
Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg has recognised the need for highly qualified young talent in this field and is the first and so far only film school in Germany to offer special training in this area.
Our curriculum is implemented with high-calibre players from the national and international production landscape as lecturers.
Students specialising in Executive & Line Producing are involved in a mentoring programme with outstanding personalities from the media industry and receive individual support from them over the course of their studies.
